The JBC team is initiating this campaign to give back to our friends, colleagues, and neighbors on the east coast who have suffered the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. Partnering with our hundreds of clients and thousands of candidates, we will target children of families impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Our mission is to help “reDRESS” those families in need by providing warm clothing to ensure every child is safe and warm this winter as their families begin to cope with losses and rebuilding efforts.
Last week, Hurricane Sandy devastated our neighborhoods and destroyed homes leaving many unsheltered and without necessities including electricity, food, gas, water, and clothing. In true New York fashion, we are all slowly rebuilding and getting back to as normal as possible; however, we are aware that entire communities are still struggling to pick up the pieces.
This is our chance to utilize our networks to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy via a new initiative: reDRESS2012.
What is reDRESS2012? By definition, redress means to remedy or to set right an undesirable or unfair situation.
We are accepting contributions including new or lightly used apparel, footwear, and accessories that will help these families make it through winter. We are also accepting monetary donations with 100 percent of the proceeds going towards the purchase of children’s clothing. Our office on 108 West 39th Street will serve as a drop-off location and distribution center to help get donations to these families as soon as possible.
Our goal is to target children, but we will also accept men’s and/or women’s donations. We are currently reaching out to local, state, and federal municipalities to find families with children in need.
Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated. To reach out to us please visit http://www.jbcstyle.com/redress to access our contact page and more information about reDRESS2012.
