Red, White, and Boom: 3 Cocktails for the Fourth of July

Kick back and relax this 4th of July with these sweet concoctions that will make any party a hit. Garnish with strawberries or blueberries and dust with sugar to create your own signature drink.

RED| Sparkling Raspberry-Cranberry Punch
Makes 16 Servings

4 cups cold water
2 pkt. Crystal Light Raspberry Ice Flavor Drink Mix
48 oz. bottle of reduced-calorie cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
3/4 liter bottle of raspberry-flavored seltzer, chilled
1/4 liter bottle of vodka
1 pkg. frozen raspberries, thawed, don’t drain

Mix in a pitcher with ice. Serve chilled. Also, to make this even more special, pair it with a scoop of raspberry sorbet.

WHITE | Apple “Lemontini”
Makes 2 Servings

0.14 oz. Lemonade (fresh or mix)
2 cups cold water
1 Granny Smith apple, quartered, cored
1/4 cup vodka

Mix all ingredients (except for vodka) in blender. Pour into pitcher, but strain the pulp. Add vodka and pour over ice.
Garnish with either a slice of lemon or an apple wedge.

BLUE | R0yal Blue Cocktail
Makes 1 Serving

1 Lime wedge
Course Sugar
1/4 cup cranberry juice cocktail
2 tablespoons (1 oz) citron vodka or vodka
2 tablespoons (1 oz) blue curacao
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

 

Moisten rim with lime wedge and dip rim in sugar. Fill shaker with ice, cranberry juice, vodka, curacao, and lime juice. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with lime peel.
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add cranberry juice, vodka, curacao and lime juice; cover and shake. Strain into martini glass.
