Yet again the runway is alive for Resort 2013 with bold colors and luxurious fabrics, and no one does it better than Oscar de la Renta!
While simplicity may be the best way to describe de la Renta’s nonchalant demeanor during the Resort 2013 show, his incomparable line of clothing is anything but.
As models stomped the runway in brilliant shades of evergreen, cobalt and iris, spectators were given a softer look at de la Renta through a line that included form-fitting evening wear, fizzy and layered cocktail dresses and curve-embracing daywear perfect for business or play.
Some of our favorites from the line included an emerald green cocktail dress with the look and feel of circa 1940’s Hollywood Glam and a red and white gingham printed dress that flirted with both innocence and sensuality.
Every piece of the collection, from the flowy pant suit to the layered ball gown, offered a hint of sophistication and classic style. The use of homespun cotton and guipure lace gave the line crisp and unparalleled detail. Overall, Oscar de la Renta’s show was fresh, timeless and exuberant – the perfect combination for resort season.
