Meet Sara

Name: Sara Niemi

Title: Talent Acquisition Coordinator, JBCStyle

Location: Seattle, WA

I became a recruiter because … I was really interested in the business and fashion/apparel worlds. I knew after I had my first phone conversation with Amanda that she was someone I wanted to work with, and as my interviews went on I knew this company was one I wanted to be a part of.

Favorite designer: Oh jeez, give me some time to discover all this! Amanda will agree … I am fashion challenged.

Celebrity crush: Sam Worthington

Favorite place in Seattle: Marymoor Dog Park

Interview horror story: That would have to be my interview with Bryan. We were both sicker than dogs, couldn’t talk without a nasal wheeze, and both had absolutely no energy. It was the most subdued, unenergetic conversation ever. And all we could do is apologize to each other!

Favorite accessory: My angel wing earrings

If I could be an animal I would be … A liger

Dream vacation: London, no contest

Sweet or salty: Dark chocolate

In my spare time I … Play rugby, although my new sport will probably be Roller Derby!

Fashion or Beauty Tip: False eyelashes means never having to put on mascara

Favorite item in my closet: My Ghostbusters costume

Restaurant I would recommend: Kwanjai Thai in Fremont, WA

Favorite music artist/band: Mumford and Sons

Favorite quote: “In our country, true teams rarely exist … social barriers and personal ambitions have reduced athletes to dissolute cliques or individuals thrown together for mutual profit … Yet these rugby players. with their muddied, cracked bodies, are struggling to hold onto a sense of humanity that we in America have lost and are unlikely to regain. The game may only be to move a ball forward on a dirt field, but the task can be accomplished with an unshackled joy and its memories will be a permanent delight. The women and men who play on that rugby field are more alive than too many of us will ever be. The foolish emptiness we think we perceive in their existence is only our own.” – Victor Cahn
