This September, luxury retailer Bergdorf Goodman is celebrating 111 years in the fashion retail business. According to WWD, the celebration begins Sept. 6 during the fourth annual Fashion’s Night Out with the theme “one store, one city, one experience.”
Special events include a documentary film, a book, designer appearances and the debut of an anniversary collection.
Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, Oscar de la Renta, Akris, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Giorgio Armani, Isaia, Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Michael Bastian and Salvatore Ferragamo are only a few of the brands creating merchandise for Bergdorf’s anniversary.
Executive vice president of merchandising, Ginny Hershey-Lambert, promises the anniversary merchandise was made distinctively for the event as a tribute to the company.

Oscar de la Renta is designing evening looks, Giorgio Armani is re-creating the infamous “American Gigolo” suit, Brioni designed a gray velvet dinner jacket lined with Bergdorf packaging as inspiration and Ermenegildo Zegna found a place for Bergdorf lavender in the chalkstripe of a navy suit.
