Kristen Stewart for Balenciaga’s New Fragrance

 

In the past month, the Hollywood spotlight has been on Kristen Stewart in all of the worst ways.  But the 22 year old actress is pressing on…closing up her Twilight days with the final movie out in November, directly followed by the debut of On The Road in December.  With so much media bashing pointed in her direction, this news of Kristen’s campaign for Balenciaga’s newest fragrance, “Florabotanica,” is as fresh as the scent’s floral tones.  In the behind the scenes video below, K-Stew displays a mature presence as the French design house’s “face-of”…giving their perfume a worthy and concentrated opinion, stating that “it’s clean, pretty and natural and you don’t necessarily know you’re wearing something…but you do.”

Head designer for Balenciaga, Nicholas Ghesquière, shows confidence in his choice of campaign model for this ad.  “To me, Kristen Stewart has a very unique personality and when I met her, right away, I thought she was so Balenciaga.”  He goes on to explain how Florabotanica is an exploration in conveying the brand’s bright and dangerous side…like the extract of a dangerous flower.  Maybe Kristen really is “so Balenciaga.”
