The collaboration of the year is taking shape as Neiman Marcus and Target reveal Karlie Kloss (seen on the cover of this month’s W Magazine) as the face of their new ad campaign. An odd choice as the department store typically doesn’t choose well-known models for their ads; however, this isn’t your typical campaign. In the spirit of high-fashion-meets-department-store-deals, we’ll go with it.
For your holiday shopping pleasure, Target teamed up with Neiman Marcus and 24 Council of Fashion Designers of America designers to create a limited-edition holiday collection.
As the project takes shape, Spring of London, was enlisted to create the ads that will begin circulating prior to the Dec. 1 launch of the collection.
With names like Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Band of Outsiders, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone and Thom Browne on the designer roster, much buzz may not be necessary. However, it wouldn’t be holiday collaboration madness if every bell and whistle wasn’t enlisted to spread the word.
