JBCStyle Recruiters Take Fashion Week – One Show at a Time

The JBCStyle recruiters continue to make their way around New York Fashion Week.

Sunday evening, while we were all snuggled up watching Jay-Z drink the night away at the Grammy’s, Melissa Rosa was making her rounds at Lincoln Center.  Vivienne Tam was one of the shows she attended earlier in the evening and as usual, the edgy, rebel vibe really resonated with our fashion-forward recruiter.

Tam fused punk and pop culture to create a collection that was determined to make a statement as a zeitgeist of the times.  The influence of current events was apparent in the collection that featured QR codes, caricatures of President Obama, and a letter from Chairman Mao printed on the dresses, tops and jackets.

This morning, she started her day off at Mathieu Mirano then came back to the JBCStyle office near Bryant Park… as much as we adore Lincoln Center, we miss those days when we could just look out the window and fashion week was happening right before our eyes.  Rosa shared her favorite looks from the collection:

From left to right:

Head-to-toe nudes. A beaver fur cropped jacket paired with a felted wool pencil skirt and nude leather boots with gold-capped toes.

Black fur and leather all over. A black, paneled fox fur jacket paired with a black leather pencil skirt and pumps.

Take a peek. A black fox fur coat featuring an asymmetrical organza inset.

Strike gold. A black merino and metallic chain cashwool sweater and pencil skirt paired with the Stingray boot with gold-capped toes.
