As Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicks off in NYC, here at JBCStyle, we’ll be watching, tweeting, blogging and sharing all week. Our top picks of the day:
Libertine – Hand-beading, shiny blue discs, sheer fabrics, and heavy wovens shape into a well balanced runway show. Creative Director, Johnson Hartig, puts together a vintage-inspired collection not shy of embellishments.
Juan Carlos Obando – Black, white and pops of lime green, hot pink, tangerine and bright blue were shown in asymmetrical details and flowing silk fabrics. The tangerine number is an absolute favorite among the collection of gowns as Pantone named 17-1463 Tangerine Tango 2012 Color of the Year.
Costello Tagliapietra – Our favorite pieces of this collection were the jackets: far left, a tan jacket with an elaborate collar in contrasting color and far right, a hooded cape. The intricate draping, twisting and tucking of fabrics amounted to a collection that literally moves.
Stay tuned for our top picks as NYFW continues…
