How did you find out about JBCStyle/JBCconnect? Through StyleCareers and LinkedIn
Were you actively looking for a job or did we head hunt you? I was looking for a job after relocating from LA, I applied through a job listing on StyleCareers and a few weeks later I got a call about the company I am with now
Describe your experience with your recruiter and/or JBCStyle/JBCconnect: It was easy and no pressure/ I came in and showed my portfolio and was contacted a few days later about an opening I had matched with. I got hired on the interview and started the very next day!
Describe your new role and what an average day consists of: Every day is different however I usually start by trying to answer as many emails as I can before the day picks up speed. I work between multiple delivers and teams so it’s usually a balancing act between scheduling, maintaining the corporate calendar and weekly deadlines, repairing showroom samples, adjusting inventory, and creating sales line sheets. In addition I assist with the pricing for the lines and am in constant communication with China; all while maintaining the company’s Instagram account!
What has been your most rewarding or satisfying experience since starting your new role? I had a design background so I have found the opportunity to learn a new end of the business extremely rewarding and beneficial to my future.
What is your favorite thing about the company culture at your new job? Wow, it is a complete 360 from my previous jobs; it is a smaller company and everyone is very easy going while still maintaining a professional work environment. The culture allows one to speak up on topics outside their job description and truly understand the decisions that are being made.
Who/what inspires you? I am inspired by everything [people, nature, art]. It’s all how you choose to look at what is in front of you.
What are your passions and interests outside the workplace? I love to travel, skydive, and am always interested in learning something new (I start glass blowing classes next week and cant wait!).
What was your favorite part of working with JBC? I loved the lack of stress. I have worked with other recruiting companies that have tried to bully me into one job or another; JBC was quick and easy and there was no outside pressure (not to mention I had a job in less then a week!!).
