Variety may be the spice of life…but surprise gifts of awesome jewelry are pretty dang spicy! Yesterday, our LA JBC ladies were surprised by Glamhouse with these beautiful bohemian baubles by House of Harlow 1960. We love Glamhouse here at JBC and wanted to express our thanks to our friend Lee Lenox over there and to tell you a little more about House of Harlow itself.
Most of us know that this line hails from designer and judge of Fashion Star Nicole Richie. This was just the tip of the design iceberg for Richie, starting as a collaboration with Mouawad in 2008. This line follows the aesthetic of the spirit of the 1960s, as indicated in the brand name. Richie uses heavy metals, intricate tribal etching, leather, and harsh, geometric shapes to emulate flower child chic.
Since the launch of House of Harlow 1960 in October 2008, Richie has gone on to create a maternity collection called Nicole, as well as a women’s fashion line called Winter Kate…all of which follow a congruent style that began with House of Harlow 1960.
