It’s that time of the year again, that one day when it’s socially acceptable to dress up as someone/something else – Halloween. One of the best days of the year, in our opinion. The holiday is just around the corner and tons of spooky décor and costumes are on display in almost every storefront. Costume ideas get more creative each year and the pressure is on to go big or go home. At Team JBC, we go REALLY big and our annual Halloween Contest is taking place this Thursday across all of our offices.
So, where do you get your ghoulish gear? Some of our favorite places to go are labels that carry daring collections year-round and come Halloween, they need only push the envelope slightly further. Black Milk Clothing is a one-stop shop for polyester and spandex pieces to start your costume off right from the most inner layer with everything from skeleton bodysuits to an assortment of creepy-patterned leggings (blood-splattered is an office favorite). Jeffrey Campbell does a spiked-heel like no other and more than likely you already have a pair in your closet as glamorous-punk is their forte regardless of the season or holiday.
Not one to dress up or go all out on a costume? No worries. A few minor details may be enough to show some spirit. Check out Sephora’s Illamasqua Bat Lash Duo or Designer Nail Wraps by NCLA in Web Of Lies or Dracula’s Bride. Urban Outfitters has an entire page (The Halloween Shop) dedicated to Halloween costumes and accessories. Check out some of the treats we came across below:
