Dallas, the hit soap opera that debuted in 1978 and became one of the most successful shows in the history of television is back to take over a new generation!
From daytime soap to primetime, TNT brings Dallas back to life on Wednesday, June 13 at 9/8c with a two-hour series premiere.
You want drama? Dallas delivers! The show, which impressively ran until 1991, revolved around J.R. Ewing and family as they schemed and back-stabbed their way into the homes of viewers all over America.
Dallas originally debuted as a five-part miniseries which eventually led to 13 seasons spanning over a decade. Larry Hagman starred as the powerful and greedy oil baron J.R. Ewing and Patrick Duffy played his brother, Bobby Ewing.
Money, sex, lies and power made for a good show centered around the Ewing Oil Company. TNT is promising to deliver the drama as J.R. and Bobby return to the ranch in Texas along with the next generation of Ewing’s who seem to have inherited the family’s talents of betrayal, deception and scheming.
Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman return from the original cast. They are joined by new Dallas stars Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives and 90210) Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives and Passion), Jordana Brewster (from The Fast and the Furious movies), Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives).
The future of the family fortune lies in the hands of the young Ewings. Will you be watching the new Dallas?
