Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra of designer label Costello Tagliapietra, have created a capsule collection for Barneys Co-op stores. They removed a few letters to name the line C&T – a shorter name for a lesser price. The line of 15 dresses carry a price tag starting at $298. These guys know how to drape and these dresses do not disappoint.
The soft hues are perfect for spring in muted tones of blue, graphite, berry, yellow and rust. The patterned pieces are symbolic of the Costello Tagliapietra brand and were created using AirDye technology. As stated by Costello, “Prints are an essential aspect of our aesthetic, so if we can participate in an ecologically conservative dyeing process and garner the same visual results, we are more than happy to do so.”
AirDye technology is an environmentally-friendly process that utilizes less water and less energy than traditional textile dyeing processes. The method benefits the environment by contributing significantly less to global warming and water pollution.
