Flashback to last February, when we brought up the hair trend of pastel hair coloring that was slowly trickling in. Back then, we were suggesting you use real sidewalk chalk (hey, LC was clever on that one) or temporary hair color spray…but now, there’s a new secret we want to reveal to you. Ladies with any hair color can use this, it’s affordable, and best of all…it’s not permanent! We’re talking about Kevin Murphy’s product Color.Bug.
Our recruiter, Kristen G, brought this lovely must-have in to our LA office for us to try. Unlike regular chalk, Color.Bug is far less drying and has a much more saturated effect. And while we thought the blondes would inevitably have more fun with this, it showed up surprisingly bright on dark brunette hair too! Below is our test on Katie L’s feathery blonde streaks with Color.Bug’s purple color. Currently, you can get it in pink and orange as well…but we’re eagerly awaiting a teal option! Hint. Hint.
Here’s a great tutorial for Color.Bug from the man, Kevin Murphy, himself:
